Getting the right sized photo print can sometimes make or break an order. It is understandably frustrating to pick up your prints only to find that the photo won’t fit in its destined frame!
To help prevent such a scenario from playing out, here is a step-by-step guide for making sure the prints you get are the exact format you intended them to be.
- Five formats are available: 4x4, 4x6, 5x7, 8x8 and 8x10
- Print sizes are measured in inches
Initial format in the cart
Selected photos are automatically sized either as a 4x4 or 4x6. You will know which format is currently selected or being modified by the blue line that appears beneath it. To change the size, tap on one of the other photo formats above the picture and either move the image around the frame to position it to your liking or use the + button below the photo to manually indicate the number of copies you wish to order for that sized photo print.
As formats are changed and added, you will see a number in a blue circle appear next to that size. For example, when changing the format to a 5x7, after using the + button or moving the image, the number 1 will appear next to the 5x7. As copies are added and removed, this number will increase or decrease to indicate exactly how many prints are being ordered.
As the 4x4 or 4x6 size is automatically applied when you select a photo, you can remove that format from your cart with the — (minus) button.
We strongly encourage you to preview your order by reviewing which numbers appear in the blue circles and verifying that only the desired formats are chosen.
Rotating a photo
It is possible to rotate photos so a 4x6 “portrait” style print can also become a 6x4 “landscape” style print.
Next to every photo in your cart, you will see the following button: When you tap on this button, the black frame indicating the photo print crop rotates. Tap on the same button again to flip back and forth between a landscape or a portrait style print like the example below:
